So you think you want to go to graduate school? There are many useful resources at UO and in the Psychology Department to help with your graduate school search and graduate school preparation. Here are a few helpful tips and program ideas to get you started.

If you’re thinking of attending graduate school, please visit the Psychology advisors or the University of Oregon Career Center for information about programs in your interest area. There is also a list of graduate school program options for psychology majors compiled by the UO Career Center. You can also talk to professors, search on the internet, and do systematic research to determine which graduate school programs and schools are best for you. Regardless of discipline, virtually all graduate school applications entail the same basic components:

  • Academic transcript
  • GRE or other standardized test scores
